As for aluminum cans, recycling just one saves enough energy to run your TV for 2½ hours.
Amazing. I knew it would save E but not that much. Too bad some municipalities are canceling or shortening their recycling pickup.

what kind of TV? :)I heard a piece on NPR a week or so back about how the new flat screen TVs can consume as much as 1/3 of the household energy demand. Cali was trying to pass a law to have more efficient TVs since it was such a huge energy draw.either way, Yay Recycling!
