Totally ...

... hilarious.

PS: May only be funny if you're a Mets fan.

There is hope!

If this article is correct, by my calculations the Mets should win the World Series in 2014!
The outcome: Foster hit 13 home runs in his first season in New York. He played an abysmal left field, was booed mercilessly, shunned in his own clubhouse and -- even as he went on to spend 3½ more decent seasons with the Mets -- labeled one of the biggest busts in the team's history. By the time the team won the 1986 World Series, he was out of baseball.
So, the Mets sign Jason Bay for the start of the 2010 season. They tank the 2010 season and the following three, and then Viola! World Series Champs!
As we approach 2010, New York Mets history is about to repeat itself.
One can only hope!

It's shaping up to be ...

... another disappointing year to be a Mets fan.

Woo hoo!

The Metropolitans bullpen successfully held and saved a game! Granted, it's only the first game of the season, but hey ... they could have started the season 0-1.

It's that time again ...

... to dream the big dreams, and my big dreams I mean the dream that your team can actually win the World Series.

This is an especially important time when your particular team has choked the past two years.

That's whats so special about baseball ... for at least a month or so you can happily dream.

And today ...

... I'm not.

Though, to be honest ... this really isn't about Chicago. This is about the Metropolitans stinking again in September. Listen guys, with 17 games to go (with a three game lead in the division) all you can do is win 7 of them (and finish three games down)? Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.

If you guys trot out the same stinking starting rotation and bullpen you trotted out this year, I'll find another team to root for*.

*Yes, I'm bluffing, but damn ... two years in a row?

Today ...

... I am a Cubs fan.

My Metropolitans ...

... suck. Which makes Mr. Met sad. I don't like it when Mr. Met is sad.
