Have you ever ...

... had one of those days that made you want to scream, and then go home and just go back to bed?

Yah, that's been my week so far.

Tom said...: Not really. My GSD (German Shepherd Dog) has been a freaking pain in my ass all this week. If she's not crapping in the house, she's pee'ing (fortunately all done on tile). Other times, she's taken into breaking into areas of the house she is not supposed to be in. Like ripping the knobs off the washer/dryer in an attempt to get into them. It's probably due to nearby construction freaking her out.

Today, took her out to poop before heading out to work. Unbeknownst to me, she stepped in her crap and tracked it into the house. Took me twenty minutes to chase her handiwork down with paper towels and 409, as well as clean her hind paw with her whining the entire time.

Professionally I am a bug hunter (aka microbiologist) and a gene jockey (aka molecular biologist). I started my career as a med tech, but now I'm a research scientist who studies environmental microbiology. When I'm not answering scientific questions about the roles that microbes play on climate change and/or water and soil quality, I'm an amateur astronomer and play racquetball. I'm also a sports nut, though my liking of both the NY Metropolitans (baseball) and NY Jets (football) tests my devotion to these sports on a continual basis. Fortunately, I'm also an OU alumnus (PhD, Microbiology) and we usually have a pretty good football team. Boomer Sooner!
