As you have probably figured out, I tend to lean towards the hippy/liberal side of the spectra.
I have very mixed feelings about vaccines. I do think that kids get too many vaccines at too young of an age, but I think that they also are very important.
There is a lot of propaganda from both sides of the vax debate and the parents making the vax decisions (along with the vast majority of the general public) are scientifically illiterate. They don't know how to determine the potential risk from a given disease vs the risks from the vaccine. I know many people are scared of both H1N1 and the vax since there is so much propaganda from both sides and the media makes it all so much more confusing.
FWIW, my mom (in another state) had H1N1 and was VERY sick. I know full well the risks involved and I don't want my little one to get it, she will be vaxed.
