If you are an anti-vaxxer ...

... your stupidity can lead to further instances like this poor girl. Infection with H1N1, complications, pneumonia, further complications. And then I read this ...
About a third of U.S. parents oppose the H1N1 vaccine, despite government efforts to encourage it, according to an Associated Press-GfK released last week.
You're GOT to be kidding me. These are the lives of your children you're gambling with folks!

As you have probably figured out, I tend to lean towards the hippy/liberal side of the spectra.

I have very mixed feelings about vaccines. I do think that kids get too many vaccines at too young of an age, but I think that they also are very important.

There is a lot of propaganda from both sides of the vax debate and the parents making the vax decisions (along with the vast majority of the general public) are scientifically illiterate. They don't know how to determine the potential risk from a given disease vs the risks from the vaccine. I know many people are scared of both H1N1 and the vax since there is so much propaganda from both sides and the media makes it all so much more confusing.

FWIW, my mom (in another state) had H1N1 and was VERY sick. I know full well the risks involved and I don't want my little one to get it, she will be vaxed.
