You know what ...

... I really like reading review articles. I don't like writing them though.

Genomic Repairman said...: I think its harder than a normal article but maybe a bit easier to publish. So many references you have to winnow out the bad data and speak on how the field is going and where it has been. Oh and not to mention you don't have a lot of space either.; 2:18 PM
Genomic Repairman said...: Well I'm sort of in the same boat now, my PI has tasked me to help him begin writing a review article. My response, "Fuckberries." It will be good but dang man I need to concentrate on classes and some experiments right now, but I just need to dedicate some time each day to sit down and subjugate this beast.; 8:43 PM

Professionally I am a bug hunter (aka microbiologist) and a gene jockey (aka molecular biologist). I started my career as a med tech, but now I'm a research scientist who studies environmental microbiology. When I'm not answering scientific questions about the roles that microbes play on climate change and/or water and soil quality, I'm an amateur astronomer and play racquetball. I'm also a sports nut, though my liking of both the NY Metropolitans (baseball) and NY Jets (football) tests my devotion to these sports on a continual basis. Fortunately, I'm also an OU alumnus (PhD, Microbiology) and we usually have a pretty good football team. Boomer Sooner!
