What does it tell you ...

... when the average age of USA Senators is near the age of retirement? Is it that we really want wise individuals* in these positions, that the work really isn't all that demanding, that the jobs are so cushy that they don't want to let go of them when it comes time, or something else?

*Looking at some of the escapades of these guys -- past and present -- it makes you think hard about the idea of them being "wise".

Well, start with Answer #3, then throw in a whole host of "requirements" for Senatorial duty that aren't actually in the Constitution and you have old foggy senators.

Anyone else here pro-term limits so these "benevolent public servants" cannot carve out their permanent fiefdoms of power.

I most certainly am. We do it for the executive branch, I don't see why we shouldn't do it for the legislative too.
