Here is the most important point, if you ask me, as to why creationists should not feel threatened about these arguments: Jesus himself taught in parables. IOW, if Jesus himself didn't teach using a strictly literal style, why would he (as God the Father) give us a series of books (Scripture) limited in such a strictly literal fashion?
